Turn Off Cookies

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options
  2. Select the Privacy panel.
  3. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
  4. Check mark Accept cookies from sites to enable Cookies, and uncheck it to disable them.
  5. Click OK to close the Options window

  1. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies.
  3. Click OK.
    • Blocking cookies might prevent some webpages from displaying correctly.

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon tools menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
  5. In the section Cookies you have these options:
    • Allow local data to be set (recommended).
    • Allow local data to be set until you close browser.
    • Do not allow local data to be set.
    • Block sites from setting any data.
  6. Close Settings tab.

  1. Go to the Safari pull down menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Go to the "Security" tab.
  4. Under "Accept Cookies", set it to Accept, Reject, or Selectively accept cookies.
